Enhancing partnership- To facilitate institutional networking, private investment, and countries dialogue on the role of governments on carbon-offset markets including economic integration, technology change and adaptation.
Emphasizing exchange of technical information- Identification and preparation of CDM projects
require special skills.
Technical workshops are key to mobilizing multiple skills necessary in the CDM business.
Emphasizing CDM policy and regulatory frameworks- in support of carbon offset market. Building
CDM policy to support relevant projects includes innovation and requires institutional interaction at national, regional and international levels.
Promoting CDM technology exhibition and trade fair- This is an opportunity for the industry to show CDM technologies and how they can contribute to development and reduction in emissions.
Contributing to the development of a carbon offset market- The market is growing in industrialized countries and Economies in Transition. It is imperative for Africa to tap into the market at the beginning on a “hands on” approach.
